Classic Monks v2.2.1

August 14, 2026

Classic Monks v2.2.1 brings targeted refinements, bug fixes, and workflow improvements across SMTP setup, email signatures, 404 exclusions, and admin controls. 4 enhancements. 5 bug fixes.

Refined SMTP & Email Management

Setting up and maintaining custom email providers is now smoother and more reliable:

  • Provider Configuration & Validation: Switching provider templates in the SMTP modal reliably renders configuration options, required fields feature clear asterisk markers, and saving API or OAuth connections no longer produces false required-field errors.
  • Ready-to-Copy wp-config.php Snippets: Selecting constant-based credential storage displays copyable configuration snippets directly in the modal for secure, effortless setup.
  • Consistent Email Signatures: Global email signatures are now attached reliably across every sending path — including direct API providers and SMTP — without missing signatures or duplicate additions during retry attempts.
  • Streamlined Connection Cards: Connection cards display priority order upfront with concise details for sender address, host, and authentication method.

Dedicated 404 Exclusions Management

The 404 Logs tool now features a dedicated Exclusions subtab, separating URL patterns, bot crawlers, user agent filters, and IP exclusions into a clean interface away from general settings. Custom 404 destination redirects have also been hardened for reliable redirects.

Admin UI & Accessibility Polish

  • Password Visibility Toggles: Sensitive API key and password fields across AI, Security, and Core settings now feature standardized reveal buttons with accessible labels and smooth styling.
  • Admin Notice Drawer Alignment: Alert positioning and dismiss buttons inside the notices drawer have been aligned for clean display and effortless interaction.
  • Independent Metric Badges: Email log and queue counts in the Email Manager update independently without overlapping digits.
