Bricks Ultimate (BricksUltimate at bricksultimate.com) is one of the more popular add-ons for Bricks Builder. It focuses on WooCommerce storefront elements and query loop providers, and it does that job well. But if you manage multiple client sites and your needs go beyond one builder’s element catalog, you probably started looking for a Bricks Ultimate alternative that covers more of the WordPress stack.
That is where Classic Monks comes in. It is a WordPress-wide plugin with 393+ features, 162 of them built for Bricks Builder. It handles security, performance, WooCommerce operations, admin tools, media, AI, and white label on top of the Bricks layer. It works with or without Bricks installed.
I build Classic Monks, so I will be direct about what each tool does best. Bricks Ultimate is the deeper Bricks-native storefront tool. Classic Monks is the broader operating stack. The right choice depends on whether you need one builder’s element catalog or a plugin that covers the rest of the site too.

Bricks Ultimate elements with no named Classic Monks counterpart stay in a separate list, because this is a workflow comparison, not a claim that similarly named features behave identically.
What Is Bricks Ultimate and Who Uses It
Bricks Ultimate is a third-party add-on for Bricks Builder. It is not made by the Bricks team. It requires a Bricks Builder license to work at all, and it does nothing outside Bricks.
The plugin’s strength is its element catalog. It ships 35 general elements, 32 WooCommerce elements, 28 Query Loop Providers, and a dynamic tag set with 34 general and roughly 95 WooCommerce tags. Its general elements lean toward navigation, layout, and storefront helpers: menus, off canvas, popup, form stylers, comparison tables, countdowns, and galleries. Its WooCommerce side is the deepest part: checkout builder, mini cart builder, order bumps, applied coupons, cart counter, swatches for loop, thank you page builder, and my account navigation.
It also sells separate WooCommerce plugins: Frequently Bought Together, Buy X Get Y Pro, and Product Add-Ons. Those are included only on the $699 Unlimited tier, or bought separately.
The people who use Bricks Ultimate tend to be Bricks-focused freelancers and agencies building WooCommerce stores. The pricing makes sense for that use case: $79 one-time for 10 domains covers a small Bricks-only practice for less than any Classic Monks license.
Bottom line: Bricks Ultimate is a focused tool for Bricks storefront building. It does one job, and it does it well.
What Does Classic Monks Add Beyond Bricks Elements
Classic Monks starts where Bricks Ultimate stops. It covers Bricks Builder features, then extends into the rest of the WordPress stack. Here is what each layer adds.
Site-wide performance
Bricks Ultimate is not a performance plugin. It optimizes elements inside the builder, but it does not manage how the rest of the site loads.
Classic Monks includes a Performance tab with asset and loading controls:
- Assets Manager for conditionally disabling scripts and styles
- CDN Rewrite for selected site directories
- Lazy loading for images, iframes, background images, videos, and YouTube embeds
- Critical-image preloading and intelligent page preloading based on navigation behavior
- Image conversion to WebP and AVIF
- Bricks asset disabling and CSS minification
- Controls for emojis, Dashicons, Google Fonts, embeds, jQuery Migrate, RSS, and other WordPress output
This is not a claim that Classic Monks replaces every caching product. It does not provide full-page caching, and you should keep a proper caching or hosting layer where the site needs one. For a Bricks agency, Classic Monks covers the optimization layer around the builder instead of assembling a separate performance stack.
Security
Bricks Ultimate ships no security features. That is outside an element pack’s job.
Classic Monks includes a full security tab with 39 per-feature docs:
- Custom login URL, login lockdown with extended lockout, Cloudflare Turnstile, and math CAPTCHA
- 2FA with TOTP authenticator app and email OTP, trusted devices, and 2FA rate limiting
- Auto logout, user-enumeration blocking, REST API and XML-RPC controls, and file-modification controls
- Content protection for copying, selection, printing, and inspection
- Staging Protection with access tokens, HTTP authentication, and IP allowlists

WooCommerce operations
This is where the two products differ most clearly. Bricks Ultimate builds storefront layout inside Bricks: checkout builder, mini cart builder, order bumps, applied coupons, cart counter, thank you page, and swatches for loop. Those are display and offer elements.
Classic Monks runs the store on top of the layout:
- Product swatches for colors, images, and labels
- Checkout field cleanup, placeholders, inline validation, and custom order headings
- Direct checkout links and a checkout product selector
- URL coupons, automatic coupon application, BOGO deals, and role-based restrictions
- Custom order statuses, order-table columns, and product price history
- Redirects for cart, login, logout, and My Account workflows
- WooCommerce script and style controls on non-store pages, plus cart-fragmentation controls
- Store email controls
A Bricks store typically needs both layers: layout elements and store operations. Bricks Ultimate covers the first. Classic Monks covers the second and adds the builder layer of its own.
AI inside WordPress
Bricks Ultimate has no AI feature category listed.
Classic Monks includes AI Agent chat overlay in the admin bar, AI content and management workflows, alt-text generation, image generation and editing, and Bricks AI Builder for HTML-to-Bricks conversion. It supports 8 AI providers: OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, NVIDIA, Zhipu AI, OpenAI-compatible, and custom endpoint.
Admin, media, and setup
Bricks Ultimate does not cover admin or media tools. Classic Monks bundles:

- Folder Manager for media organization
- Image Converter for WebP and AVIF, watermarks, media replacement, bulk downloads

Classic Monks includes white-label plugin capability on the Enterprise plan (yearly or LTD): rebrand the plugin, hide it from the plugins list, client license expiry controls, 6-hour priority support, and priority feature requests. Enterprise LTD is $599 one-time for unlimited sites.
Builder-agnostic coverage
Classic Monks works with Gutenberg, Elementor, Breakdance, and plain WordPress. Its Bricks features activate only when Bricks is installed. Bricks Ultimate does nothing outside Bricks.
That matters for an agency with a mixed portfolio. One Classic Monks license serves Bricks projects and non-Bricks projects. A Bricks Ultimate license only helps the Bricks sites.
Bottom line: Classic Monks adds site-wide performance, security, store operations, AI, admin tools, media, setup, staging, and white label. Bricks Ultimate does none of these.

What Bricks Ultimate Still Does Better
The comparison stays honest here. Bricks Ultimate’s element catalog is its reason to exist, and it covers territory that Classic Monks does not attempt to match.
- WooCommerce storefront elements. Checkout Builder, Mini Cart Builder, Order Bumps, Applied Coupons, Cart Counter, Cart Content, My Account Navigation, Thank You Page builder, Free Shipping Notice, Purchasable badges, Linked Variations, and Swatches for Loop. Classic Monks has WooCommerce elements and store operations, but not a visual checkout builder, mini cart builder, or order bump element.
- Query Loop Providers. 28 providers covering ACF checkboxes, galleries, and post objects, Metabox galleries, relationships, and checkboxes, custom WP queries, custom taxonomies, product lists (best selling, featured, on sale, top rated, related, cross-sells, upsells, recently viewed), and customer orders, wishlist items, and compare items.

What the price comparison actually says
For a Bricks-only freelancer with up to 10 client sites, Bricks Ultimate at $79 one-time is the cheaper entry, if the only need is Bricks elements.
For an agency at the top end, the order flips. Bricks Ultimate Unlimited is $699 one-time for white label plus its WooCommerce tools. Classic Monks Enterprise LTD is $599 one-time for white label, priority support, the whole Bricks feature set, plus security, performance, store operations, admin tools, and AI. A Bricks license from bricksbuilder.io is also required for Bricks Ultimate to work at all.
The caveat is specificity. Bricks Ultimate’s price buys a specific element catalog and provider list that Classic Monks does not copy. If checkout builder, mini cart builder, order bumps, form stylers, and ACF and Metabox loop providers drive revenue, they are worth their own license.
How to Migrate from Bricks Ultimate to Classic Monks
This is a partial migration in both directions. Bricks Ultimate is not a full Classic Monks replacement, and Classic Monks does not ship every Bricks Ultimate element. Do it on staging:
- Inventory first. List every Bricks Ultimate element and provider used in your templates, per template. Missing one element on a live page is the most common migration bug.
- Map what exists. For each Bricks Ultimate element, check if Classic Monks covers the core job: swatches, BOGO deals, wishlist, recently viewed, tables, image compare, countdown, star ratings, breadcrumbs, back to top, buy now, reviews, comments and product queries.
- Mark the gaps. List the ones with no Classic Monks counterpart: checkout builder, mini cart builder, order bumps, applied coupons, form stylers, AJAX popup, off canvas, accordion menu, sliding menu, business hours, and the ACF and Metabox loop providers.
- Decide per gap. Keep Bricks Ultimate for the gaps, or rebuild those templates with classic Bricks elements plus Classic Monks conditions and dynamic data.
- Test on staging. Builder editing, front-end output, WooCommerce checkout, wishlist and compare behavior, and forms. Clear all caches between tests.
- Swap one template at a time. Remove Bricks Ultimate elements from templates only after Classic Monks coverage verifies in the builder.
- Keep both active. Do not uninstall Bricks Ultimate until the soak period passes on live sites. A two-week soak is the minimum for WooCommerce sites with order flow.
Who Should Choose Which
Choose Bricks Ultimate if you run Bricks-only sites and need its specific elements: checkout builder, mini cart builder, order bumps, form stylers, accordion and sliding menus, AJAX popup, off canvas, or the ACF and Metabox loop providers.
Choose Classic Monks if you manage client sites and want one license to cover Bricks features plus site-wide performance, security, store operations, admin tools, AI, and white label.
Choose Classic Monks if you want a one-time license across 100 or more sites, or if you want to consolidate a stack of plugins instead of adding another Bricks add-on.
Keep both if Classic Monks is the operating stack and Bricks Ultimate’s specific elements earn their keep. These two coexist more easily than most add-on pairs, because their overlap is element-level rather than global settings.
Wrapping Up
Bricks Ultimate is a strong Bricks-only storefront add-on. Its element catalog is genuinely deep, and for a Bricks-only WooCommerce shop, it may be the only tool you need.
Classic Monks covers much of the builder territory, but its larger advantage sits outside the Bricks Ultimate model: site-wide performance, security, WooCommerce operations, AI, admin tools, media, setup, staging, and white label. If those are the tools you need, Classic Monks is not just a Bricks Ultimate alternative. It is a broader core stack that replaces several categories of plugins around Bricks Ultimate’s original job.
