What is Classic Monks?
Classic Monks is one plugin that replaces many others in WordPress.
Instead of installing dozens of small plugins for performance, security, admin cleanup, WooCommerce tweaks, and builder add-ons, Classic Monks puts the most common, practical features into a single modular plugin. You turn on only what you need. Nothing more runs.
This matters because every extra plugin usually adds its own database calls, background checks, and admin scripts. Over time, that slows down the WordPress dashboard and makes sites harder to maintain. Classic Monks reduces that overhead by handling these jobs in one place, with fewer database queries and a faster backend.
Classic Monks does not replace your page builder or theme. It works alongside tools like Bricks and core WordPress. Think of it as the control panel for your site: setup, performance, security, WooCommerce utilities, and quality-of-life improvements, all managed from one screen.
The goal is simple:
fewer plugins, fewer problems, a faster WordPress admin, and a setup you can reuse on every site without thinking about it.
Is Classic Monks only focused on Bricks Builder?
No. Classic Monks is not Bricks only.
Classic Monks currently has features for Bricks because that’s where we started with builder specific features like elements, controls, dynamic data, conditions, and animations. Those features activate only when Bricks is installed.
However, Classic Monks is builder agnostic and works with any theme or builder, including Gutenberg, Elementor, Breakdance, Astra, and others. This includes admin tools, performance optimizations, security features, workflow utilities, Quick WordPress Setup, and WooCommerce enhancements.
If you’re not using Bricks:
• Nothing breaks
• Nothing is disabled globally
• Bricks-specific modules simply remain inactive
Future integrations for other builders (Elementor, Breakdance, etc.) will add native features for those builders, not change how the core plugin works.
In short: Bricks gets extra superpowers today, but Classic Monks is designed to be useful across WordPress as a whole.
When will CM have features for other builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.)?
Builder specific features for other builders are planned.
Our focus for 2025 is stability: bug fixes, performance improvements, and hardening the existing feature set so the core stays reliable as usage grows. We’re deliberately avoiding rushing new builder integrations before the foundation is solid.
From 2026 onward, we’ll begin rolling out integrations for other builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, Breakdance, and others.
To keep this user driven, we’ll be sending a poll to customers, and whichever builder receives the most votes will be worked on first. This helps us prioritize based on real world demand rather than assumptions.
In the meantime, Classic Monks already provides significant value across all builders through its builder agnostic features, and future integrations will be additive, not required for the plugin to be useful today.
Is Classic Monks production stable?
Yes. Classic Monks is production ready and already used on live client sites. The current release is stable for real world projects, and new features are added incrementally without breaking existing functionality. As with any actively developed plugin, major changes are versioned carefully and shipped only after internal testing and real site validation.

Classic Monks replaces many small, single purpose plugins, not your page builder or theme.

Classic Monks is not trying to replace builders like Bricks, Elementor, or Gutenberg. It works alongside them. The goal is to reduce plugin count, cut redundant database calls, speed up the WordPress backend, and give you one modular core stack instead of dozens of scattered plugins.
What are the WordPress/PHP requirements?
Classic Monks requires WordPress 5.0+ and PHP 7.4+. It works with all major hosting providers and is optimized for performance on shared, VPS, and dedicated servers.
Licensing & Account Management
What if my client count grows beyond my license?
Simply upgrade to the next tier or add additional licenses. Many Professional start with 25 sites license and upgrade to Agencey/Enterprise license as they grow. No penalties, just pay the difference and continue growing.
Can I remove sites and free up license slots?
Yes! You can easily remove sites and free up license slots in License Monks.
How to do it:
1. Go to My Account → Sites
2. Find the domain you want to manage
3. In the Sites section, click “Delete” next to any site you want to remove
4. The license slot is immediately freed up for use on another site.
Is the license key exposed in the database?
No, license keys are never stored in plain text. Classic Monks uses a unique encryption method to secure all license data before storing it in the database – the system automatically encrypts license keys, status information, and other data, and only decrypts it when needed for validation, ensuring your license keys remain secure even if someone gains database access.
Do local & staging sites count against my license limit?
Classic Monks uses Dodo Payments as our secure payment provider. You can complete your purchase using a wide range of globally trusted payment options:

Can I use Classic Monks on client sites?
Yes! The Professional (50 sites), Agency (100 sites), and Enterprise (unlimited) plans are perfect for agencies managing multiple client WordPress installations. Each production site you manage counts toward your site limit.
What happens when my subscription renews?
Your subscription auto-renews annually at the same rate. You’ll receive an email reminder 7 days before renewal. You can cancel anytime, and you’ll retain access until the end of your paid period.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes! You can upgrade from Personal to Professional, Professional to Agency, or Agency to Enterprise at any time. The price difference will be prorated for the remaining time on your current subscription.

Classic Monks is currently being built and maintained by a focused team of 4, led by its original founder, under the GoodMonks Solutions banner. This is the same team behind years of client work in WordPress, WooCommerce, performance optimization, and plugin development, which directly informs how features are planned and shipped.
The product is fully bootstrapped, which means there is no investor pressure to pursue vanity features or aggressive pricing. The team optimizes for long-term usefulness and agency level workflows instead. Day to day, the team covers product development, support, documentation, content, and marketing in-house, keeping feedback loops short and allowing shipping cycles to stay fast and user driven.
How often do you release updates?
Classic Monks ships updates roughly every 12–15 days, with each release focused on a tight set of improvements instead of noisy, superficial changes. This cadence lets the team ship meaningful new features, refine existing workflows, and keep compatibility steady without turning your stack into a moving target every week.
In between feature releases, critical fixes and compatibility patches are prioritized and rolled out as needed, so you are not stuck waiting for the “next big version” just to get stability. The goal is a predictable, agency friendly release rhythm: fast enough to feel alive and improving, slow enough that you can safely standardize Classic Monks across multiple client projects.
What does Client Site Expiry Controls do?
Client Site Expiry Controls allows you to set individual expiration dates for each site activation in your license, giving you granular control over when specific sites are no longer licensed – you can set different expiry periods (1-5 years or lifetime) for each site independently, and the system automatically tracks remaining days and marks expired sites. When a site expires, the plugin dashboard on that client site will show as “expired” instead of “licensed”, clearly indicating the license status to the end user.
How to do it:
1. Go to My Account → Sites
2. Find the domain you want to set expiry
3. In the Sites section, click “Set Expiry” and select from 1 to 5 years or lifetime
4. The site license is immediately updated to reflect new expiry.
What does whitlisting a site and blacklisting a site do?
Whitelisting allows only specific sites to activate your license keys, while blacklisting prevents specific sites from activating your licenses – giving you complete control over where your licenses can be used.

Why is local Tax such as GST/VAT added in payment page?
